Melbourne University Accepts 2024 Human Rights Scholarship ApplicationsThe University of Melbourne’s 2024 Human Rights Scholarship, worth up to $94,200, is now accepting applications. This grant is for local and foreign graduate research students who support human rights. This scholarship supports students’ academic and humanitarian goals with a $42,000 living allowance for up to two years for Master’s students and 3.5 years for Doctoral students, complete fee reductions, and relocation assistance.

Scholarship applications, which started on 1 May 2024 and closed on 31 October 2024, are very competitive and will be evaluated on academic merit, human rights commitment, and supporting evidence. Eligible candidates must fulfill University of Melbourne Master or Doctorate by research degree admission criteria, have not earned a research qualification at the same or higher level, and plan to work full-time unless there are compelling circumstances. The University will inform winners by February 2025, giving them a rare chance to peacefully enhance human rights via study.
